During a magical mid-winter’s night, residents of a mythical town in far northern Maine are falling in and out of love at an alarming rate. But as fast as hearts are broken, they are mended—almost—in this delightful and very funny new play. Almost Maine is a Central Valley premiere.

Her father is a Jewish Holocaust survivor. Her mother was in the Hitler Youth. What the devil is she…?!

Spanning three cultures and as many generations, this solo show features the Russian Front, Holocaust bedtime stories, and undercover bridge games at the Senior Center. A unique, irreverent, humorous, TRUE story of one legacy of war and ethnic conflict. You are cordially invited to tea and swastikas.

This is a very funny, sharply written show. Your sense of irony will be doing back flips. –David Ford, The Marsh Theater, San Francisco

WARRIOR WOMEN have been around since the beginning of time. Future heroines disguised themselves as men, and went forth. They became soldiers and sailors to seek love, adventure or revenge; some because they needed money and wanted to avoid prostitution, some because they wanted to escape marriage or an abusive father. Leigh sings the ballads of the Warrior Women.

Singer-songwriter Kristie Francis has a quirky, off-beat, gutsy way of seeing ordinary people, relationships and events, and inventing impossible ones.  It’s hard to tell them apart, but that’s OK, because it doesn’t matter – even the fictional stories are “true” in their own way!  You will probably see in her songs many people you know, including yourself!

Written by James Still

Directed by J. Daniel Herring

Starring Terry Lewis

Produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.

A story, a confession, a revelation this one-man play takes place in the past, in the present and in the infinity of Gary’s mind. Armed with his theme (“Anything can happen”) and a pair of leopard-print underwear Gary dreams about kissing somebody, but along the way finds himself in New York addicted to phone sex, attending memorial services for strangers and passing out at the memory of Cream of Wheat boxes. His affinity for strange situations leads him through an unforgettable circle of porn stars, deaf transvestites and a dog named Rodney. It’s through his surprising friendships with a man named Valentino and a woman named Mary Carmen that Gary discovers his greatest poetry, humor, pain and hope.
